Subsequently, the growing need for more roads, schools and so on has been fulfilled and as any investment guide Les Habères focused should mention, there are also many wonderful restaurants and shops in the area.

Surrounded by the mountains and the lake, this historic area operates at a slower pace yet offers a vibrant hub of options for plenty of après-ski fun after a day on the slopes!

However, if you fancy a change from skiing, then there are many things to do in Les Habères and around the picturesque village itself. One of the key attractions close by has to be Lake Geneva, which resides around the mountains and is a must-see. You can enjoy it either as part of a city tour or a boat cruise. Chateau d’Avully is a popular attraction that can be enjoyed in any weather, and is complete with fortress, labyrinth and packed full of culture and information.

Investment potential in Les Habères

Les Habères is seldom discussed without mentioning the beauty of this resort that it is superbly located and mostly only known by locals. So, it is therefore regarded as something of a secret spot and not a typical tourist destination.

This means that you can stroll around it at ease without annoying queues and pretty much have the 50km of lift served runs and pleasingly powdery slopes to yourself. This exclusivity means it really does feel like home instantly.

It is a simply beautiful area that offers a great way of life with shops, restaurants and bars, historic elements and a year-round appeal. There are many recent developments nearby and, on the horizon, with nearby Annecy announcing recently they will have a luxury development arriving soon. The Grand Massif area has also enjoyed expansion and has promised more to come, with its infrastructure on the slopes and village also growing.

There are 9 ski lifts in the resort – more than double, however, if you count the connected lifts from Bellevue-Hirmentaz in too.

As there are a multitude of ‘easy’ and ‘intermediate’ slopes available, you can see why it is labelled a family-friendly resort with something to suit both young and old alike. There are, nonetheless, some difficult routes available too for the more prolific skiers with terrain of around 30km.
