Located in Achensee, Tyrol in Austria, the ski resort Rofan – Maurach is a small resort with over 11 kilometres of slopes waiting to be discovered. According to the resort's motto "Fun is the goal" and it certainly lives up to that, as skiers and snowboarders can experience a wide range of slopes, great activities as well as picturesque views, making this a popular resort of choice for many.
This Austrian resort offers an array of different terrain. With elevation ranges between 980 and 1,840 metres there are plenty of slopes to challenge the intermediate skiers, including 8 kilometres of wide runs above and below the tree line. Expert skiers can encounter 2 kilometres of longer and steeper runs including the most demanding run the Black run at the Mauritz double chairlift, whilst beginners can get to grips with their skis on 1 kilometre of easy slopes. There is also an outstanding ski school with fantastic resources and instructors who can teach adults and children in the initial stages of their skiing journey.
In addition to all of this, guests who really want to get their adrenalin fix, a high-speed sky glider pulls daredevils from the plateau up to the peak of the Gschöllkopf mountain which is situated at 2,040 metres and gives the feeling of free flying. There is also a huge array of amenities including terraces, restaurants and friendly villages to explore whilst taking a break from the slopes.
