Austrian skiing and snowboarding doesn’t get much better than the See ski resort. Situated in Paznaun-Ischgl this fantastic family resort has 41km of fresh winter slopes awaiting visitors and residents, along with 7 lifts to ferry people around, including an 8-person Versing gondola. Conveniently, the resort is only 55 minutes from Innsbruck Airport, ensuring you can have more time on the slopes after your journey is complete.
With elevations in between 1,040m and 2,456m, you can expect to find a varied amount of terrain and lots of different surfaces to appeal to different levels of skiing ability. With 8km of easy blue runs, 25km of intermediate red runs and 8km of difficult black runs, there is something here for everyone. The Rossmoos is a 7.5km run that goes from the highest mountain station all the way back to the See base station. Adrenalin on the other hand is only 0.5km in length but with a 75% incline, it’s only for the advanced skiers and boarders. Thankfully there is also night skiing on offer, as well as artificial snow making capabilities on 80% of the slopes.
Of an evening, check out the Ascherhütte or Skybar for some large sun terraces with simply wonderful views. If you would prefer to drink until the early hours in some après ski bars, try Icebar Tirolerhof or Butzhütte.
