Aspen Highlands resort information

Located in the Aspen Snowmass of Colorado USA is the Ski Resort Aspen Highlands. It is 1 of 4 mountains in the Aspen area (Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk) Aspen Highlands however, is particularly famous for the ‘Highland Bowl’ which provides some of the most intense skiing in the state. Stretching over 135 kilometres of breath-taking views and wide-open slopes, this resort is perfect for skiers and snowboarders of every age and ability.

With elevations between 2,451 and 3,559 meters this resort ensures quality snow coverage throughout the winter sport season. The resorts 70.2 kilometres of black slopes are mostly suited to the most expert of skiers, with steep terrain and exhilarating runs. For those who want something a little smoother but still challenging, the 40.5 kilometres of ‘red’ intermediate slopes are for you. For novice skiers and younger children there are 24.3 kilometres of ‘blue’ easy slopes with much more gentle terrain to perfect skills and techniques.

It isn’t just the slopes that make this resound a popular choice amongst locals and visitors, there is a wealth of other activities on offer. For example, night skiing, ice skating, snow biking and snow tubing on the designated and floodlit lanes. Every Friday night during the winter season there is also Ullr Party nights in held in honour of the Norse god of snow.

When it’s time to take a break from the slopes, ‘Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro’ is a cosy European cabin with superb panoramic views of the Aspen Mountains and Maroon Bells, and is best known for its raclette and apple strudel. The resort often holds live music events and festivals in their live music venues such as ‘Limelight Lounge’.
