Steamboat resort information

The expansive Steamboat ski resort has a whopping 165km of slopes available to skiers and snowboarders, all situated in the beautiful surroundings of Colorado, USA. Considered one of the best resorts in America, if not the world, this resort features 17 ski lifts to ferry guests around the resort, as well as elevations of between 2,103m and 3,221m.

The high-altitudes at Steamboat practically guarantee amazing snowfall every winter, meaning that locals and tourists often flock to use the slopes over the winter season. In total, there are 25km of easy blue runs, 95km of intermediate red runs and 45km of difficult black runs to contend with. The longest run is 4km in length and there is also a valley run for the most adventurous to enjoy.

The resort has a great reputation for being family friendly, and championing the education of younger skiers through its Kids Ski Free and Kids Fly Free programmes. There is a dedicated children’s centre here with a schedule of events that is worth checking before guests even arrive at the resort, simply to find out when the best events are being held.

After a long day skiing or snowboarding guests have the pick of a great deal of bars and restaurants. They include The Slopeside Grill, Hazie’s Rex’s American Bar & Grill and Laundry Restaurant for some gourmet dishes served fresh.
