Hailing from a family of Nords, my Mom was born & raised in Norway, the roots go deep on both sides … and yes, my name is pronounced ‘out', Ahneh-Britt, I was raised like a good Viking, mountains and oceans are in my blood and I know mountain living! Born and raised in Bellingham, WA I grew up skiing in the Cascades and sailing in the San Juans (islands that is). In 1997 I moved to Durango to finish up my degree at Fort Lewis College and achieved my BA in Accounting with a double minor in Finance & Business Administration in 1999. I spent 9 years in Durango running my own small business with two other partners (one of whom later became my husband), Durango's first indoor rock climbing gym & fitness center, Animas City Rock Gym; all the while spending every chance I had playing in the San Juan mountains. I finally moved to Silverton full-time in October of 2003 where I partnered with a friend, Steve Leisle, in buying the real estate company Silverton Realty. In May of 2012, my family and I moved to Telluride, where I launched Mountain Rose Realty.
