A huge variety of slopes and terrain awaits visitors and residents attending Saint-Lary-Soulan ski resort, with over 100km of slopes to choose from over 700 hectares of land. Elevations range between 1597 metres and 2,515 metres, which means there is something for every type of skier to enjoy in the midst of the Pyrenees.
Spoilt for choice is an understatement given the masses of slopes available, but there is definitely more easy slopes to choose from given there are over 60km available. This makes Saint-Lary-Soulan a superb resort for families and first time skiers looking for a great first experience of winter sports. However, there are also 30km of intermediate slopes and 10km of difficult slopes available for more advanced skiers and snowboarders to challenge themselves. If that’s not enough, there are 290 snow cannons to provide artificial snow to slopes when the snowfall isn’t as good as it should be.
If you fancy trying some other activities during your stay, the resort is well-equipped with a nature trails, biking trails, climbing, rappelling, canyoning and a halfpipe for freeriders to make the most of. To rest aching muscles there is also a thermal spa that visitors and residents can try before embarking on another full ski day.
There are over 30 restaurants for guests to choose from when stomachs start to rumble, with La Galette d’Or and La Grange being some of the best.
