Located in the Maurienne area of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes Salvole Mont Blanc, France, is the Ski Resort Aussois. Situated at the foot of the Vanoise National Park, the resort consists of 55 kilometres of slopes and offers a huge range of difficulty for skiers and snowboarders.
There are 55 kilometres of slopes for those wanting to sample as many ski runs as possible, with elevations between 1,500 and 2,750 metres. The slopes are predominantly classified as easy and intermediate with 30 kilometres of blue runs and 22 kilometres of red runs. Further to the 55 kilometres there is also an additional 17 kilometres of ski routes and another 30 kilometres of cross-country skiing. All this really does ensure the Ski Resort Aussois has a slope for every ability from challenging the experts and welcoming the beginners.
A huge emphasis is put on families within this resort as has some fantastic resources available. There is an outstanding day care facility to support children, a beginner area for discovering family skiing, a superb snow garden to discover the skill of skiing from the age of 3 years old and exhilarating toboggan runs for all the family to enjoy. La Cave du Père Fressard is a perfect place for traditional cuisine and delicious tapas, while La Guinguette de l'Esseillon also serves Pancakes, sandwiches, ice cream, drinks.
