A popular destination for those who have a passion for this exhilarating sport is the Ski Resort Gresse en Vercors and is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble, Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. It has a total of 20 kilometres of slopes perfect for skiing and snowboarding with elevations ranges between 1,245 and 1,751 metres.
With a leaning towards the more easy and intermediate slopes, the resort has 8 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes and 7 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes. Wider, easier runs and pleasant gliding is ensured at this resort whilst guests can ski through beautiful, snow-capped backdrops. But that’s not to say there isn’t something for the adrenaline junkies out there, there is are 5 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes for those skiers who are after a little bit more of a challenge. There is also an alternative valley run, 51 cannons to provide artificial snow across the slopes and a snow park, perfect for boarders.
The resort itself boasts picturesque views of the Grand Veymont, which is the highest mountain in the Vercors, which shapes the panorama of the local area. Alternative activities include snowboarding, tobogganing and snowshoe hiking through the snow covered mountain ranges. There are a range of different restaurants and bars that residents can kick back and relax in. After dining, guests can relax in a lounger on the terrace - a perfect place for a break from the slopes.
