Boasting the name of being the largest ski resorts on the French side of the Pyrenees, the Grand Tourmalet/Pic du Midi–La Mongie/Barèges ski resort can be found in the Arrondissement of Argelès-Gazost, Hautes-Pyrenees, Occitania, France. The resort has a huge array of ski slopes and alternative activities for guests and residents to take part in. With over 100 kilometres of slopes and 32 lifts to transport guests around the resort, there is so much to fit in on your next winter holiday to the Grand Tourmalet/Pic du Midi–La Mongie/Barèges.
There is a wide variety of different slopes and courses on offer for those wanting to take part in as many runs as possible. With elevation ranges between 1,250 and 2,500 metres, there is a total of 70 different slopes, most of which lead over treeless terrain. The majority of slopes are predominantly targeted towards easy slopes with a total of 58 kilometres of blue runs, making this an ideal resort for novice skiers. This being said there is also a whopping 35 kilometres of red runs to challenge the more experienced skiers and 7 kilometres of black runs for the expert skiers out there who are wanting to show off their skills.
Alongside the wide variety of slopes on offer, visitors and residents can also benefit from a fantastic après ski; it is easy to get a drink or a warm beverage at one of the resorts bars and rustic huts. When the sun goes down, even more excitement comesout, the Barèges offers a range of drinks and cocktails as well as music to entertain guests right through the night.
