The Ski Resort Autrans - La Sure is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble, France. It is the heart of Vercors Massif and just a 2-hour transfer from Lyon Airport. It is a very traditional village resort and prides itself on having a wide range of slopes perfect for every age and ability.
In total, the resort has 20 kilometres of slopes and with an additional 160 kilometres of cross-country skiing slopes it is known as one of the main French resorts for cross-country skiing. Elevation ranges between 2,050 and 1,710 metres ensure that the slope’s snow coverage is maintained throughout the winter season. The diverse mix of slopes consist of 10 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, 8 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and 2 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes means that there really is something for everyone, whether you’re a beginner looking to get to grips with your skis or an advanced skier who is looking for an extreme challenge.
Alternative activities include exhilarating dog-sledge pistes, snow kiting and specially groomed trails for snowshoe hiking. For those wanting to relax after a long day on the slopes, there is an abundance of restaurants, cafés and bars. Popular choices include ‘Chez Francis’ or ‘Pizzeria la Flambee’ for mouth-watering food for all the family or the ‘Agora Cafe’ and ‘Cafe Igloo’ for late night drinks on the terrace under the light of the stars.
