Orcières Merlette 1850 ski resort can be found hidden away in the Arrondissement of Gap, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Hautes-Alps, France. This magnificent resort provides guest with 100km of varied slopes, 28 operational lifts and elevations between 1,850m and 2,725m offering some magnificent views, a valley run, snow park, there is dining available throughout the resort and picnic areas, Sun loungers are located at Prelles and also at the highest elevation.
There are 55km of easy slopes available for beginners, 38km of intermediate slopes and 7km of difficult terrain to challenge even the most experienced ski and boarders. From the village of Orcières at 1,850m, the lifts and chair lifts provide access to the majority of the ski resort including the two featured slopes the The Drouvet 2,655 m and the Col de Freissinières 2,782 m. There is plenty of fun to be had here and with such a vast number of slopes and terrain to explore there won’t be much time to enjoy the additional activities such as tobogganing, cross-country skiing and ice skating.
