Within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes area of France is the SuperBesse – Puy de Sancy ski resort, offering a huge range of winter sports activities as well as 43km of slopes for skiers and snowboarders to have fun on. There are 22 ski lifts to utilise when getting around the resort, which is situated in between elevations of 1,300m and 1,850m.
Very much a family resort, convenience is paramount here, given that you can easily ski up to your front door when you come to stay as a visitor or resident. Locals and tourists alike come to enjoy the slopes, including 30km of easy blue slopes, 9km of intermediate red slopes and 4km of difficult black slopes. All in all, there is a good balance of slopes, although they tend to favour the beginners and those with limited experience on snow. There is an additional valley run for the intrepid explorers staying at the resort, a snow park for freestyle skiers to enjoy themselves, and night skiing is available for those who struggle to fit all of their skiing into one day.
