In the heart of the Hautes-Alpes in the Southern French Alps, lies the small ski resort of Ancelle. Only a 2 hour transport from Marseilles Airport, this resort is ideal for experts, beginners and families who want to indulge in exhilarating skiing, a variety of winter activities and relaxing après-ski.
The resort itself boasts 30 kilometres of slopes in a range of ability levels which are perfect to suit those from novice to expert. With a range of elevations between 1,350 and 1,850 meters, these perfectly groomed slopes with 199 snow cannons ensure a good snow coverage throughout the winter. 16 kilometres of the slopes are classified as ‘easy’ and provide opportunities for novice skiers of all ages to find balance and confidence on their skis or boards. The 12 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ slopes are fantastic for those who are wanting a bit more of a challenge and the 2 kilometres of ‘expert runs’ means even the most ambitious of skiers and professionals can have endless fun on the slopes. There are also 13 lifts to transport visitors and residents around the park with ease as well as rewarding them with astonishing views and unforgettable moments.
But the fun doesn't stop at the slopes, there is also an abundance of activities that take place within the resort, for example ice skating, ski joering, toboggan runs, dog and horse sleigh rides, and snowshoe hiking on one of the 4 marked and maintained snowshoe trails.
