You will find the ski resort Valfréjus Located in Maurienne, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. This resort has a great deal to offer its guests ranging from its awe-inspiring backdrop to is vast and varied skiing area built up amongst the forest. Skiers and snowboarders can make the most of 70 kilometres of slopes to snowboard on, all the way through the mountains and alpine terrain.
This resort has a traditional alpine feel about it and attracts a diverse range of skiers and snowboarders to sample the slopes. The elevation ranges are between 1,550 and 2,737 metres which leads to a diverse range of runs that will build up confidence in beginners and challenge even the most experienced of snow fanatics. Children can find their feet on the slopes in the Jardin d’enfants whilst beginner skiers can explore 40 kilometres of easy slopes, the Escargot is usually the first slope of choice, then progressing onto slopes such as Gentiane. There are 20 kilometres of intermediate slopes to choose from including the Arrondaz and Seuil slopes. If its extreme exhilaration you're after then there are 10 kilometres of expert slopes to get your fix on - the Souches is the resorts most demanding slope.
If all of this isn't enough to tempt you then there is the new Eski-mo Skipass which allows guests to visit a further 5 other ski resorts (Aussois, La Norma, Bonneval sur Arc,Valcenis and Valfréjus) and take advantage of a further 300 kilometres of slopes. Guests really will be spoilt for choice.
Valfréjus also has a selection of bars, restaurants and terraces for that great après-ski experience. Restaurant d’altitude is located at the top of the Punta Bagna ski lift and is at an elevation range of 2,727 metres which is brilliant for winding down at the end of the long day and really takes the phrase ‘dining with a view’ to a whole new level.
