The ski resort Auron (Saint-Etienne-de-Tinee) is located in the Arrondissement of Nice, France. Boasting over 135 kilometres of diverse slopes, visitors and residents are lucky enough to enjoy elevations between 1,600 and 2,450 metres which means there really is something for every skiing ability.
There are slopes of all difficulty levels ranging from steep slopes to beginner runs, the 60 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs are perfect for beginners who are looking to try out their skis for the first time. 45 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and 30 kilometres of ‘expert’ black runs provide some steep and exhilarating slopes for the more advanced skiers to challenge themselves. As well as skiing, the resort also provides a wide range of other amenities and activities for people to enjoy, as there is tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and snow parks for those who are looking for a little more adventure off the slopes.
Most restaurants are located on the blue Nabines slope, whilst there are plenty more located in the village of Auron La Bergerie. This area is particularly popular amongst guests and has many cosy alpine huts where guests can dine inside or outside on the terrace with breath-taking views of the mountains and surrounding area. Le Slalom and Le Bataclan are other favourites serving fantastic food and traditional dishes.
