The fruits of recent investment can be seen all along La Colmiane, with several runs and lifts having opened recently. At present there are runs designed for skiers of all abilities, making this resort just as popular for beginners and families as it is for daredevils and those with serious experience on the slopes.
As the resort continues to grow, there are plans for a slew of new eateries and businesses which offer great views of the Alps, in addition to the existing restaurants which offer traditional French cuisine and a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy some time to recuperate in splendorous surroundings.
Transport to La Colmiane
Getting to the resort couldn’t be simpler. The closest airport is Nice (France) which is just one hour away. There’s a regular public train service which runs between La Colmiane and Nice. Alternatively, visitors can arrange for a private hire taxi to take them directly to their lodgings or perhaps even hire a vehicle for use during their stay.
To arrive at La Colmiane via Nice, drivers simply need to follow the M2205 which runs directly between both destinations. After a 41.6-mile journey, drivers need to take the second exit on the roundabout at the M2565 and stay on the Route de la Vesubie until they spot the signs to turn off for La Colmiane. It is, of course, worthwhile considering the local weather report for La Colmiane to check what conditions are like before setting off, as icy roads and blizzard conditions can cause delays.
