Located in the Canton of St. Gallen, Eastern Switzerland is the Ski Resort Atzmannig-Goldingen. With over 8 kilometres of slopes and elevations between 830 and 1,200 meters, this resort is ideal for those who are new to the winter sports scene.
There are 6 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, which provide hours of pleasant gliding for novices and younger children, whilst the 2 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes provide opportunities for more advanced skiers to challenge themselves on more extreme and steeper slopes. There is a total of 5 lifts for transportation around the resort. The chairlift takes you up to the starting point and then it's on your marks, get set, go: starting off downhill, through elevated, steep bends, tunnels and across glistening brooks. At the top of the mountains, a spectacular view of the southern and middle alps can be seen clearly.
Tobogganing is particularly popular with high-speed descents to the valley on the 700-metre run. For something a little less extreme, those that enjoy hiking can experience the breath-taking panoramic views offered by the Männi and the Sparrow Adventure Paths
At the end of a long day on the slopes, why not wind down with a hot chocolate and a delicious fondue in the cosy Brustenegg ski hut. With fantastic skiing and a wealth of amenities at hand, it is obvious to see why this resort is perfect choice for a winter holiday.
