Fans of Swiss skiing and snowboarding will be delighted with the range of slopes on offer at the Savognin ski resort. Located in the Surses (Oberhalbstein) area of Switzerland, this wonderful resort has over 70km of slopes and an additional 10km of ski routes available, all served by 11 lifts transporting visitors and residents. The elevation of the resort is between 1,200m and 2,713m above sea level.
With some astoundingly good descents and ski runs, the resort has many wide slopes for those just starting out on the snow, along with some more challenging opportunities for those feeling more adventurous. There 32km of slopes classified as easy and 38km classified as intermediate, with no difficult runs. This means there is definitely more for the beginner to take advantage of, although with so much to choose from, skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will be thoroughly entertained. If that’s not enough, there is also the linked resort of Bivio with an additional 30km of slopes to explore.
The eatery options are endless here, with an abundance of culinary delights, mountain restaurants, cafés for a quick snack and bars for après ski. Restaurant Florian’s Weinstube has some fantastic wines on offer, Bergrestaurant Tigignas has phenomenal views at 1,600m above sea level and Quadrin is a two-storey bar and club open until the early hours of the morning.
