To enjoy the best of Swiss skiing and snowboarding, you just need to know where to look. The Stoos – Fronalpstock/Klingenstock ski resort is a great example, suitable for both beginners and pro-skiers alike. With 35km of slopes to discover, there are 8 ski lifts transporting guests to their new favourite slope. In addition, the resort is at an elevation of between 1,300m and 1,935m.
The slopes are divided up between different skiing and snowboarding abilities. There are 1.2km of easy blue runs, 23.8km of intermediate red runs and 10km of difficult black runs. The emphasis here is definitely on those with some winter sports experience, and are thinking of moving from the easy blue slopes up to something a bit more challenging. Whilst the adults are off taking on the steeper slopes, children can make the most of the snow park, where they can tire themselves out playing in a safe environment.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the mountain, including Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock, Minotel Alpstubli and even a wellness centre in Stoos for those wanting to get pampered during their stay.
