Collectively known as Matterhorn Ski Paradise, this large resort is located across Switzerland and Italy, providing residents and visitors with some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world. Having the Matterhorn as your skiing backdrop is one thing, but having 322km of slopes over two resorts is another.
The elevation of Matterhorn Paradise is one of the highest in the world. Between 1,562 and 3,899 metres means that they can practically guarantee snow all year round, making it ideal for skiers and snowboarders who like to indulge themselves in every season. The high alpine ski slopes can be found across 3 separate resorts; Zermatt-Matterhorn, Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche.
Residents and visitors have a lot to take advantage of at Matterhorn Paradise, with skiing just the tip of the iceberg (so to speak). There is also a ski safari, snowpark in Zermatt with a wide range of jumps and a Rail Garden, Heliskiing and the relaxing atmosphere of the Igloo-Village.
There are also all the usual amenities, but many at a whopping 3100 metres elevation! Along with terraces, restaurants and cosy pubs, there is also Europe’s highest shopping mall to visit and make the most of. A unique travel opportunity also lies at Gornergrat, a railway at 3,089 metres elevation to view the high alpine landscape like never before.
