If you’re looking for a blissful basecamp close to Meribel, then look no further. Brides les Bains is a spa village cradled at the foot of the Three Valleys. It’s close to air and rail links (Moutier station is just ten minutes from the resort centre) and a short trip on the Olympe Gondola takes you to the higher pistes of Meribel.
As well as easy access to a range of pistes, Brides les Bains offers superb entertainment away from the slopes. Festivals are a regular occurrence, with comedy and jazz taking centre stage, and the thermal waters give rise to the resort’s reputation as a wellness retreat.

Les Allues
An authentic Savoyard village, Les Allues is packed with alpine charm. It’s a working village with all the essential amenities such as a supermarket and ski shop, as well as a handful of restaurants with bars.
History weaves through the streets and you can still enjoy the sight of the communal bread oven where villagers would take turns to bake for the community. You can take the lift to Meribel and even ski back via a long, but gentle, red run.
A ski apartment in Les Allues is a perfect spot to enjoy all the benefits of Meribel, without paying Meribel prices.

La Tania
Set 125 km from Grenoble, La Tania was built for the 1992 Olympics. Created in a traditional Alpine style with wood clad apartment buildings and set amongst forest, it has a degree of charm not often found in more modern resorts.
The car free centre gives it special appeal for families, which is enhanced by facilities such as a day nursery and Piou Piou skiing centre for three to five year olds. La Tania has a selection of shops and restaurants to enjoy and it’s just ten minutes to the slopes and bustle of Meribel or Courchevel.

Mottaret
At the centre of the Three Valleys is Mottaret, one of the highest resorts in the area. It’s a purpose built resort so most properties are within around 200 metres of the slopes and it’s possible to ski directly to Meribel.
The village has invested in a new beginners area, known as the Yeti slope and home to Yooni the famous blue Yeti that charms children (and a fair few adults too). For those seeking greater challenges the unique location of Mottaret means the high peaks and variety of runs of Courchevel, Val Thorens and Meribel are within easy reach - it takes just 12 minutes to reach Plas du Lac.
Other ski based activities include night skiing and tobogganing and away from the slopes the resort has excellent wellbeing facilities and a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants.

Saint Martin de BelleVille
Saint Martin de Belleville embodies the concept of Art de vivre - the art of living. With the charm of the mountains at centre stage, a reputation for outstanding gastronomy and superb activities away from the slopes this is a place that delights skiers and non-skiers alike.
There’s a nursery slope in the centre of the resort, and blue runs from the top of Tougnete. Advanced skiers can access the thrills of the Three Valleys with ease and there’s a great choice of off-piste areas.
Away from the slopes you’ll love the fact that Saint Martin is home to La Bouitte, part of the village since 1976 and holder of three Michelin stars.
Out of season there are numerous MTB trails, canyoning and hiking including the famous Via Ferrata.

Les Menuires
Les Menuires is perfectly placed for Val Thorens and Meribel. It’s a Famille Plus resort and is known for its arresting modernist architecture. It’s set between Saint Martin and Val Thorens giving easy access to more traditional townscapes and the variety of skiing offered by the Three Valleys.
It has a reputation for being friendly and holds strong appeal for families thanks to initiatives like a nursery and mini-club and the resort is designed to be easy to navigate with a pushchair. There are mountain farms to enjoy, excellent bars and restaurants and plenty of activities for non-skiers.
