As well as incredible runs to challenge even the most confident skier, Park City has a dedicated area for beginners and youngsters to make their first tentative glides to the slopes. Easily tackled terrain and a superior snow surface make High Meadow Park a perfect area to learn the art of skiing. There’s even a series of specially designed Adventure Alleys to enjoy an off trail ski experience.
Snowboarding in Park City
Park City is also a haven for snowboarders. There are no less than 8 terrain parks ranging from Little Kings which is perfect for kids and beginners, all the way to 3 Kings which has all the jumps, rails, wallrides and boxes you could hope for. There’s even the chance to try the 22’ Eagle Superpipe first seen at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Summer in Park City
Park City is a true four season resort, with a huge amount to interest summer visitors and those lucky enough to count Park City as their primary residence. The mountain offers superb hiking as well as scenic lift rides and an alpine slide that is the longest in the world.
There are plenty of things for kids to enjoy like mini golf and the Flying Eagle zip trail, as well as city specific activities like gem panning. Cyclists will enjoy the challenges of a great range of MTB trails - the city is a Gold Level Ride Centre - or the long route challenge of the Union Pacific route. Add in no less than seven golf courses and superb spas and the reason for Park City’s status as an all year resort becomes clear.

The jewel in the crown of this fantastic ski area is the blend of old world charm and modern convenience. Main Street (yes, the one you can ski to!) itself is packed with boutiques, distilleries, quirky bars and great quality restaurants, all set against the backdrop of colourful boomtown buildings.
There’s more to Park City than good looks though - this is a ski town with an enormous sense of community, and an enormous ability to make people feel welcome - be they visitors or new residents.
Park City is a year round town
It’s this community that makes Park City a year round town - a quick glance at the community events listings shows everything from craft fairs and farmers markets through to Shakespeare and Arts festivals. The city has excellent education facilities - ranking in the top 2% nationally- and it’s a mere 30 minutes from the airport where you can be whisked to LA in less than a couple of hours.
