Located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France, the Méaudre Ski Resort is a lovely destination with a range of slopes that is especially suited for beginners and families.
The resort itself is set between elevations of 1,012 and 1,600 metres with a choice of over 18 kilometres of slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The slopes can be divided by skill levels, with 12 kilometres of easy slopes, 5 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 1 kilometre of difficult slopes available. The novice skiers and younger children can build up confidence in the wider more gradual slopes and the Jardin d’enfants provides perfect conditions for the little ones learning to ski. Adrenaline junkies can get their fix on the most difficult slope in the resort which is located at the top of the Forest lift.
Alongside this guests can also take part in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoe hiking and dog sledding, there is even a designated bobsled track at the base of the resort for alternative fun off the pistes.
After a day spent in the snow you will enjoy relaxing by the open fire place at the Auberge du Furon which is located at the foot of the ski slopes, or you could enjoy the views on the south facing terrace at the The Cabane du Gonçon.
