The Les Arcs/Peisey-Valandry ski resort is located in Tarentaise Savoie Mont Blanc, France. This is one of the largest resorts offering 200km of varied wide spread slopes. This is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Europe. Combined are 3 quaint villages of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000 with elevations between 210 and 3,226m, there are 47 lifts for guests to utilise.
The resort is dominated by easy beginner slopes with 104km on the face of the mountain, intermediate skiers are able to explore 70km of terrain and there is 26km of difficult runs to challenge the most experienced skiers and snowboarders. The longest run here is the Aiguille Rouge (7km) it runs from the peak of the Aiguille Rouge right to Villaroger in the valley, this is a steep and narrow run, not for the feint hearted. The most difficult run is Lanches Crêtes Dou de l’Homme, this is only recommended for the extremely advanced skiers, it is steep, unprepared and tremendously bumpy. Other recommended slopes are Belette (intermediate) Bois de l’Ours (difficult) and the Plan Bois (easy). If the slopes aren’t enough try the snow park, valley run or the speed management course.
