Wedged between the peaks of France and Switzerland, Roc d'Enfer, St Jean d'Aulps and La Grande Terche are breath-taking resorts that are situated between 950m and 1800m above sea level. The location is a 90-minute drive east of Geneva and is within easy distance of beautiful views of Lake Geneva and the lakeside city of Lausanne.
Holiday-makers, residents and thrill-seekers will have full access to 50 kilometres of untouched wilderness. 31 tracks offer a varied experience for the skier; a mix of 17 blue and green tracks such as "La Bray" and "Terchette" cater effectively to beginners whereas the 10 red slopes or the 2 incredibly adventurous black courses, one of which being famously named "L'Aigle", will fully satisfy anyone after an intense challenge.
Served by 16 ski lifts and 2 ESF snow wires, there is plenty of access and support for traversing the area with ease. More than 100 snow cannons are also on call to ensure permanent snow across the resorts.
A 20km circuit can even whisk away visitors from the hustle and bustle and showcase a slice of Mother Nature at her finest. An extensive range of snowshoe and hiking trails, picnic areas, cable cars and children's park can also be discovered if you prefer activities more family-orientated.
Are you still eager to explore further? Saint Jean d'Aulps allows adventurers to reach the Portes du Soleil by shuttle and access to the Brevon Valley can be granted in La Chevrerie.
After an active day outdoors, Roc d'Enfer has plenty of places where you can settle down for the night. Chalet de Torchon, Village des Follys and finally Le Plateau which can boast fantastic views, as well as hearty home-cooked food.
