Situated in the Vallée de l'Ubaye in the heart of the French Alps, the Super Sauze ski resort is an exceptional destination for skiers and snowboarders to indulge themselves during the winter season. There are 65km of fresh slopes available for visitors and residents, along with 22 ski lifts to easily and comfortably navigate the resort. Guests can expect elevations of between 1,400m and 2,450m.
Set within the beautiful Mercantour National Park, the resort sits right above Barcelonette, and subsequently very close to the Italian border. Once visitors have stopped admiring the view, they can enjoy 35km of easy blue slopes, 20km of intermediate red slopes and 10km of difficult black slopes. This balance of slopes allows for complete beginners to enjoy themselves as much as those with years of experience on the slopes. In addition to the traditional skiing and snowboarding offerings, there is also a valley run available and a fantastic snow park for freestylers to practice improvising on the snow. Just in case there is any issue with the snowfall in the area, there are 109 snow cannons covering 33% of slopes at the resort, ensuring these areas are fully topped up with snow every morning.
Hungry skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to sample some of the local restaurants in the area after a full day of winter sports, including Le Trappeur, Restaurant d'altitude La Cabane à Jo and Hôtel L'Equipe.
