From a small village in the 1960s, Zoetermeer in the South Netherlands has developed into a bustling city, now home to the best indoor ski resort of 2019. A stone's throw from both The Hague and Rotterdam, SnowWorld Zoetermeer is ideally located for tourists, with the nearest airport just over 19km away.
Despite being an indoor resort with an elevation of 15.00-80.00m, SnowWorld Zoetermeer has plenty to offer in terms of slopes. It also neighbours another indoor ski area, De Uthiof, found in The Hague. With 610m of slopes in total, the resort houses the steepest indoor slope in Europe at 300m in length. Aimed primarily at families, the resort offers an additional three slopes, with two of these slopes being classified as easy at a piste length of 140m. KidsWorld offers a further slope of just 30m for littles ones to learn and enjoy. With ten ski lifts and an additional bandlift in KidsWorld, guests will be ready to hit the slopes in no time. Three snow cannons ensure the runs are ready for guests throughout the day.
SnowWorld Zoetermeer offers lessons in both skiing and snowboarding, making it the perfect place for novice skiers to develop their skills. Guests have the option of hiring the latest equipment at SnowWorld Zoetermeer but with the onsite Winterstore they can also invest in their own for future visits. Following a day of skiing, guests may wish to take a dip in the Finnish sauna or Turkish baths before relaxing in the cosy lounge of the Wellness centre. They could also indulge in a beauty treatment at the Solarium. When it comes to evening dining, SnowWorld Zoetermeer has plenty to offer. With three restaurants and two bars, guests can enjoy a variety of Austrian-style dining experiences.
