The Ski Resort Amden is located in the Canton of St. Gallen, Eastern Switzerland and is only a one-hour transfer from Zurich Airport. This fantastic resort offers skiers and snowboarders over 20 kilometres of slopes, with elevations between 931 and 1,684 meters, guaranteeing variety for all ages and abilities. Beginners can get to grips with their skis on the 10 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, more advanced skiers can show off their skills on the 10km of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and for those seeking a little more adrenaline, the resort offers skiers an impressive descent of 852 meters.
Cross country skiing is also available at the resort as guests can take advantage of the 8 kilometres alpine trails. Alongside the variety of slopes on offer, visitors and residents can revel in the crystal-clear lake and alpine mountain views, whilst taking a snowshoe hike through the beautiful landscapes. There is also a ski school where children and adults can learn to become more confident in this ever popular winter sport.
After a long day of skiing, why not take a relaxing break in Restaurant Holzstübli, a lovely restaurant that serve a selection of mouth-watering dishes and local cuisine. The resort's range of slopes, and abundance of activities make the Ski Resort Amden an ideal destination for the whole family.
