Braunwald ski resort is situated in Canton of Glarus, Switzerland. This medium sized resort boasts 32km of slopes, 9 operational lifts and elevations between 1250m and 1900m. This resort is located under 2 hours transfer time away from the nearest airport.
The Braunwald resort has everything a winter sports enthusiast could need for a great getaway, including ski slopes marked out for different gradients, toboggan runs and tracks, snow tubing, cross-county trails, a snow shoe path, ice rink, and amazing high-altitude panorama trails. If this isn’t enough then night skiing is also available for those wanting to extend their ski day.
The main runs available have been divided into three levels of difficulty. There are 17.5km of easy slopes, which are great for beginners and those who lack confidence on the slopes. Intermediate skiers are able to enjoy 8km of slopes, and for the most experienced skiers they are able to enjoy 6.5km of slopes. For those traveling with families the snow park is a wonderful way to keep the little ones entertained.
