The ski resort Crans-Montana is located in the Canton of Valais of Switzerland and boasts impressive views of the Matterhorn and the Mont Blanc. It is the sunniest ski resort in Switzerland and provides a wide range of slopes of all difficulty levels.
Set between elevations of 1,510 and 2,927 metres and with over 140 kilometres of slopes this resort really is a powder paradise. For skiers who love to get their adrenaline fix the 15 kilometres of expert slopes are ideal, including ‘Prabaron’ or ‘La Noire’ . If you’re after a thrill, but to a lesser extent, then you’re sure to find something on the 70 kilometres of intermediate slopes. For beginners and those who desire a calmer trail then the resort also offers 55 kilometres of easy slopes, perfect for easy gliding and building up confidence. In addition to the ski slopes visitors can take advantage of the resorts fantastic snow park located in the Adrenaline Zone of the resort that includes many obstacles such as half pipes, kickers and pro lines.
Crans-Montana also has so many bars, restaurants and terraces for that great après ski experience. For hot drinks or alcoholic beverages then Chetzeron is brilliant for winding down at the end of the long day and taking in the panoramic views on the sun terrace. Skiing can be hungry work so for fantastic food, visitors can stay at the Chetzeron Restaurant or head 2000 metres up the Toula chair lift and dine at the Cabane des Taules.
