The ski resort First-Grindewald is located in the Jungfrau Region, Espace, mittelland, Bern, Bernese, Oberland, Switzerland. It is a beautiful traditional mountain villagae resort and offers spectacular views of the north face of the Eiger.
Offering a huge range of difficulty for skiers and snowboarders, visitors are lucky enough to enjoy 53 kilometres of slopes with elevation ranges between 1,050 and 2,501 metres and in addition to this there is also a further 10 kilometres of marked ski slopes for cross country skiing. The resort also has 38 snow cannons, meaning 71% of the slopes covered and ensures fantastic snow coverage throughout the winter season.
The wide variety of slopes provide something for everyone. There are 30 kilometres of ‘easy’ slopes with wide runs and smooth descents. 15 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ slopes are there to challenge the more confident skiers whilst the 8 kilometres of black runs including the ‘Lauberhorn’ means that even the most ambitious skiers can have endless fun on the pistes.
No visit to the First-Grindewald is complete without a visit to the top of the Jungfraujoch Mountain. It peaks at 3,454 metres and provides breath-taking views and outstanding dining and can only be reached by the tram provided.
