Gemsstock – Andermatt ski resort is located in Andermatt, Central Switzerland and is only a 30-minute transfer from the nearest airport. It is a fantastic resort that offers scope and variety for every age and ability. The resort totals 31 kilometres of slopes for skiing and snowboarding at elevation ranges between 1,444 and 2,961 metres.
For novices and younger families there are 4 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs to find your feet on the slopes. Gemsstock – Andermatt also has an excellent ski school with fantastic resources and instructors who can teach adults and children in the initial stages of their skiing journey. For those who already know how to ski and are in the average-advanced level, there are 10 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and black runs dominate the slopes with 17 kilometres of expert slopes, the most difficult run is the valley run at 5 kilometres. In addition to this there is also a further 6 kilometres of marked ski routes perfect for more challenging terrain.
Highly recommended is the cable car lift which transports guests up to the almost 3000-metre-high Gemsstock. Here a superb panoramic view of up to 600 peaks is clearly visible and extremely breath-taking. This fantastic resort also offers a range of alternative possibilities, ranging from skiing to snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, snow hiking to cosy horse-driven sleigh rides.
You’re sure to find something for you at the Gemsstock – Andermatt ski resort from the amenities to the views and the slopes leading from the Gemsstock are proven to be some of the nicest in the Alps.
