The ski resort Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen – Grindelwald/Wengen is located in the Jungfrau Region of the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Only a 1-hour transfer from Bern Airport and is the largest in the Bernese Oberland and in the Jungfrau region. This fantastic and versatile resort is perfect for skiers of all ages and abilities and boasts spectacular views and scenery.
With over 102 kilometres of slopes and elevations between 944 and 2,320 metres, the high altitudes ensure fantastic snow coverage throughout the season. The 33 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes are ideal for beginners and those who want to develop their skills as they can practice their skills in the Kinderparadies Männlichen practice areas. There are also plenty of slopes to challenge and excite the intermediate skier, with over 56 kilometres of ‘red’ slopes. For those confident skiers who are looking for something more advanced, there are 13 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes including the Lauberhorn World Cup slope and the steep and narrow Hundschopf, perfect for high speed descents and exhilaration.
No visit to this ski resort is complete without taking a trip up to The Sphinx Observatory which is over 3,500 metres high. Guests will be enthralled by its amazing views of the Aletsch Glacier and the Bernese Oberland. On fine and clear days, the Vosges and the Black Forest can even be seen. There are a selection of rustic huts and restaurants located throughout the resort, Mary’s Café/Hexehüsli serves Swiss specialities whilst the Star Bar is great for après ski and has incredible views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau from its sun terrace.
