Fans of Swiss skiing and snowboarding will be delighted with the range of slopes and alternative activities on offer at the Moléson ski resort. Located in La Gruyere, the Fribourg area of Switzerland, this wonderful resort has over 30 kilometres of ski routes available, all served by 5 lifts transporting visitors and residents. The elevation of the resort is set between 1,100 and 2,002 metres above sea level.
With some astoundingly good descents and ski runs, the resort has many wide slopes for those just starting out on the snow, along with some more challenging opportunities for those feeling more adventurous. There 19 kilometres of slopes classified as easy, 4 kilometres classified as intermediate and 7 kilometres of expert slopes, this means there is definitely more for the beginner to take advantage of, although with so much to choose from, skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will be thoroughly entertained. If that’s not enough, there is also an amazing snow park with a range of obstacles to show off your skills.
Here at the Moléson ski resort, guests can enjoy more than the slopes as there is so many other ways to spend your time. The wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area can be taken in at the view point which is located at Le Moleson, which is at an elevation of 2,002 metres. Here you can also access the paragliding station for another superb way to take in the sights. Only a short walk from the base of the slopes in Gruyeres there is a museum or you can see how delicious Swiss chocolate is made at the chocolaterie on Broc.
