The ski resort Kaiseregg/Riggisalp – Schwarzsee is located in the Schwarzsee-Senseland area of Fribourg, Switzerland. Despite not being as big as some of the other resorts in the area, skiers and snowboarders still have over 20 kilometres of slopes to experience which are all easily accessible using 5 ski lifts to transport guests to their chosen slopes.
With elevation ranges between 1,050 and 1,750 metres, guests can choose from a wide variety of surfaces and terrain, even though there is a weighting towards more easier slopes, the resort is still suitable for the more advanced skiers who are after a bit of thrill seeking. There are 14 kilometres of easy slopes, 5 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 1 kilometre of expert slopes truly something for all skiing abilities. The slopes on the Kaiseregg have the reputation of being some of the widest pistes in the region.
The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down here at this fantastic resort as there is a selection of winter night activities including night skiing, where guests can experience skiing and snowboarding under the stars at Mondschein on the 4-kilometre-long floodlit slope which is open until 20:30. As well as this, guests can also try their hand at night sledding in the moonlight on the 4-kilometre-long downhill run, a must for snow fans. When it’s time to take a break, and put down your night skis, the Gypsy bar is a lovely little rustic hut where you can warm up with a mulled wine after a long day on the slopes.
