The Splügen – Tambo skiing area is a wonderful medium-sized resort located in the Viamala area of Switzerland. With 30km of slopes on offer for skiers and snowboarders, there are also 5 ski lifts that will assist guests in traversing elevations in between 1,484m and 2,215m.
In total, there are 12km of easy blue runs, 11km of intermediate red runs and 7km of difficult runs to choose from. Newcomers are able to enjoy their first time on snow at a relaxed pace, taking their time on gentle descents whilst finding their feet. There is a valley run available, a snow park for children, and night skiing for those needing a bit more time on the slopes. To make sure there is fresh snow every morning, the resort is also equipped with snow cannons that cover 60% of the slopes.
There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars to try in the locality of the ski resort, including Piz Tambo, Bodenhaus Hotel Restaurant and Restaurant Alte Herberge Weiss Kreuz.
