The Glenshee ski resort is located in the Scottish Highlands of the United Kingdom and is translated from Gaelic as Glen of the Fairies. It is the largest, most extensive ski resort in Scotland and is sometimes referred to as the Three Glens.
Glenshee offers a total of 36 kilometres of slopes for skiing and snowboarding and has elevations between 650 and 900 metres. This fantastic resort really does have something for every age and ability. For children and skiers new to the winter sport there are 24 kilometres of ‘easy’ slopes including the Cluny Poma 1 and 2. For more confident skiers there are 10 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ slopes and for the extreme skiers to show off their skills there are 2 kilometres of expert slopes. If exhilaration and steep terrain sounds like your type of fun then you need to try the alpine terrain of the Glas Maoi which is the highest peak standing at 1,068 metres, other peaks include Meall Odhar at 922 metres and Cairnwell at 933 metres.
An abundance of alternative activities are provided as this resort with its fantastic race track area, a snow sports school with fantastic resources and instructors who can teach adults and children in the initial stages of their skiing journey.
