Borovets ski resort is situated in the Sofia Province Bulgaria. It is a wonderful choice for skiing and snowboarding, with 58km of slopes readily available and 13 operational lifts to ferry visitors and residents to their favourite slopes.
Borovets is one of the most picturesque resorts, built in an alpine style it adds to the natural beauty that surrounds it. There are many different types and levels of skiing available, from alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle to cross country skiing, night skiing, biathlon, ski jumping and winter hiking there really is something for everyone. Elevations range between 1,300 and 2,560 m to provide a wide variety of terrain and surfaces to explore.
The ski resort Borovets is divided into 3 zones: Ski Centre Sitnyakovo (base elevation 1350m - peak elevation 1780m), Ski Centre Yastrebetz (base elevation 1340m - peak elevation 2369m) and Ski Centre Markudjik (base elevation 2144m - peak elevation 2550m).
Beginners can expect 24km of runs to practice on and to build up their confidence before moving on to 29km of intermediate runs, and if you’re really daring then the 5km of difficult runs should provide a sufficient challenge.
