Ylläs resort information

The Ski Resort Ylläs is a fantastic resort located in Lapland, Finland. Only a short 35 minute transfer from Kittila Airport, this small magical resort offers picturesque village landscapes on the banks of the lake, perfect for families and everyone who has a passion for this popular winter sport.

It encompasses a vast 55 kilometres of interlinked slopes with elevations ranging between 200 and 718 metres, resulting in a wide variety of breathtaking landscapes and terrain to explore. These slopes are enough to challenge any skier or snowboarder and consist of 21 kilometres of easy runs located down near the base of the valley. Skiers who are more confident can progress onto the 28 kilometres of intermediate slopes, meanwhile experienced and well-rounded skiers can challenge themselves on the 6 kilometres of expert slopes in the upper area of the valley, which includes the most difficult run, the Superrinne which is 0.9 kilometres long. A whopping 30 kilometres of these slopes are floodlit, amazing news for night owls who find the skiing day too short.

Once the skiing day is over, residents can wind down and recharge their batteries in some of the delightful rustic huts and restaurants as there are 13 to choose from, which are all distributed throughout the resort. The Café Gondel In the mountain station of the gondola lift serves great food to tingle the taste buds and great music and live concerts take place at the Taiga après ski bar.
