Located in the Vallée de l'Ubaye and in Val d'Allos, France lies the ski resort Espace Lumière–Pra Loup/Val d’Allos. It is one of the biggest resorts in the Southern Alps and is 1 of the 2 resorts that make up the Espace Lumière Pra Loup being the largest and Molanes being the smallest.
The resort caters for all ages, abilities and provides a wealth of alternative activities. The resort boasts over 180 km of slopes at elevations of 1,608 and 2,576 metres and has 35 excellent lift systems transport the guests, a trip up the Pra Loup gondola is perfect for those skiers who are just starting out and provides some fantastic views. For those who want to take its slow, with a gentle glide, then there are 56 kilometres of easy slopes. For something more challenging then why not try your hand at the Perdrix, just one of the whopping 93.5 kilometres of intermediate slopes perfect for those wanting to show off their skills. For those who find skiing second nature there are 30.5 kilometres of expert slopes including the Genepy or Buse, 2 of the black routes located in the Vallon de Seregnier area. Snowboarders are also well catered for here with a snow park and several natural half-pipes.
When it’s time to put down the skis there are so many other activities to take part in including speed riding, paragliding, driving snowmobiles, sledding, tobogganing and snow shoe hikes. There really is something for everyone at the Pra Loup/Val d’Allos and with a wide range of restaurants, clubs and bars dotted throughout around the mountain throughout the resort, visitors really can make the most of their time on the slopes.
