Just 2.8km from town centre Georgia, the ski-resort Bakuriani offers 26km of slopes. The long winter here last anything between 4 and 5 months, this is a favourite choice and because the ski season lasts so long here it can often seem more spacious and relaxing than other resorts that only open for a shorter period.
Elevations are at 1740m – 2672m (difference of 932m) with slopes allocated to all levels of skiers, from beginners to experts who get a trill from a more devil seeking run. The easy runs have 12km, blue/red 9km and black runs have 5km of snow filled tracks. There are 15 lifts in total taking skiers to different parts of the mountains.
Parasailing and paragliding are a wonderful way to get an entire view of Bakurianni, which is another option for those who are wanting to see more over a shorter period of time.
For a wonderful evening of dining, Mimino restaurant is a must! With some of the most authentic and traditional tastes available this is the perfect spot. A pleasant ambiance which offers a stone made fire place, a mouth-watering Georgian menu, background music suitable for all.
