Altglashütte (Bärnau) resort information

The ski resort Altglashütte (Bärnau) is an intimate, beautiful resort located in the Stiftland Holiday Region of Bavaria, Germany. There are 2 kilometres of slopes for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy, with elevation ranging between 750 and 900 meters, perfect for beginners and families who are looking to take it easy on the slopes. For those who are a little more ambitious, the resort also offers 42 kilometres of cross-country ski trails through the ridge of the Bohemian Forest.

Even though the resort itself it small and intimate, there is still so much to do as well as skiing down the slopes. A short walk into the centre of the Bavarian town, there is an idyllic, natural outdoor swimming pool. The surrounding countryside is ideal for fishing, walking and cycling. Within a 10-minute drive of the resort, there are several restaurants which specialise in German and Italian cuisine. Interesting museums in Bärnau include the Button Museum and the Bärnau-Tachov History Park.
