The ski resort Catinaccio/Ciampedie – Vigo di Fassa/Pera di Fassa is located in the Val di Fassa and Trentino-Alto Adige areas of Italy. It is a wonderful ski resort with over 13.8 kilometres of ski slopes with elevations of 1,329 and 2,040 metres and is known by regular guests as Rosengarten, or "The Rose Garden".
There is something for every age and ability at this resort; from 6.4 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, to 6.2 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes – one of the most famous being dedicated to Gustav Thöni. However, the most demanding slope throughout the whole resort is ‘Tomba’ and is named after Alberto Tomba, a famous skiing champion. This ski resort is especially suitable for families with young children, who can enjoy the ski school Kinderpark Ciampedìe from the age of 3 years old.
With many other activities available, the resort also organises snowshoe excursions throughout the area so residents and guests can experience the beautiful alpine scenery the resort has to offer. Those who love hiking will find trails at the Passal of Costalunga, a few miles from Vigo. During the month of December there are also many Christmas parties and markets organised for the whole family to enjoy to really get you into the festive spirit.
