Set within the wonderful Italian Dolomites, the Sappada ski resort has everything you could need as part of a ski resort, including 17km of exhilarating slopes for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy. The awe-inspiring view is a big part of the beauty of the resort, enjoyed whilst skiing or on one of the 14 ski lifts guests can use to get around.
With an elevation between 1,250m and 2,000m, visitors and residents can find a whole range of different surfaces to ski or snowboard on. Whether it is one of the pleasant descents as part of 8km of easy slopes, or slightly more challenging courses as part of the 9km of intermediate slopes, guests will be able to improve their skills and become more confident on snow. For that reason the resort is ideal for first-time skiers and families looking for a fun skiing weekend or holiday.
For those who go on skiing holidays for the adventure, there is also Nordic skiing, alpine skiing, ice climbing, toboggan runs and a bobsleigh. For children, the Nevelandia winter park has trained staff on standby to look after your little ones whilst you’re off on the slopes.
Once you’ve expelled all your energy on the snow, seek out fine dining at Laite or Edelweiss Stube, or even enjoy some après ski refreshments at Ghiaccio Pazzo.
