The ski resort Cimone – Montecreto/Sestola/Le Polle is located in the Province of Modena, Italy and is only a short transfer from the local airport. It is the largest ski area of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the high altitudes of the resort guarantee a wonderful winter holiday for all the family.
With elevations between 900 and 1,976 metres and over 50 kilometres of slopes, there really is something to suit every taste. Covering pistes of all difficulties skiers can choose to take it easy on the 15 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, build up their confidence on 25 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes or really show off their endurance skills on the 10 kilometres of downhill ‘expert’ black slopes. Skiers and snowboarders will revel in the fact that there are very short waiting times for the 13 lifts situated in the resort. These lifts ensure transportation around the resort is quick and easy as well as giving residents the time to take in the breath-taking alpine views on offer.
Alternative activities include snowboarding, tobogganing and snowshoe hiking through the snow-covered mountain ranges. There are a range of different restaurants and bars that residents can kick back and relax in, with ‘Bar Cimone’ being a firm favourite for both residents and locals to enjoy a drink, music and a bite to eat after a long day on the slopes.
