Slovakia is a fantastic place to ski or snowboard, with lots of diverse slopes to explore. A great example of this is Štrbské Pleso in the Prešov Region of Solovakia, which has just over 8.3km of slopes and an additional 0.7km of marked ski routes available. In addition, there are 7 ski lifts for visitors and residents to utilise during their stay, and the resort itself is situated between elevations of 1,376m and 1,840m.
The resort can be found in the highest village of the High Tatras, beneath the 2,093m high Predné Solisko peak. Skiers and snowboarders will be delighted to find 2.7km of easy blue runs and 5.6km of intermediate red runs, but no slopes classified as difficult. This makes it ideal for complete beginners, as well as those with some ski experience that are looking for an exciting challenge. It is worth making the most of Furkotka and Esicko slopes, as well as the longest slope at the resort, Solisko & Esicko at 3km in length.
