Candanchú resort information

Located in the Province of Huesca, Aragon in Spain is the Ski Resort Candanchu. This uniquely beautiful resort at the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, lies at the head of the Aragon River. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in Spain and consists of 50 kilometres of slopes with elevations between 1,514 and 2,236 metres. It also has a reputation of being one of Spain’s toughest and exhilarating ski resorts.

Offering a wide range of slopes for all abilities, the 15.8 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, are ideal for beginners looking to try out their skis for the first time. The 18.3 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes ensure confident skiers can challenge themselves. For more ambitious skiers there is 15.9 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes. In addition to this there is a further 11.2 kilometres of ski routes and 35 kilometres of cross country trails that are perfect for free riders. The resort also offers a joint ski pass with Astun Ski Resort which consists of 39.9 kilometres of slopes.

Candanchu is known for having a wide range of visitors and families, from those wanting to experience exhilaration to those who want a relaxing holiday, mouth-watering restaurants and rustic huts and bars for après ski. The Burger and Frankfurt Ambar Tobazo at the top of Mount Tobazo is 2,020 metres high and offers delicious food as well as breath-taking views of El Sombrero Mountain.
