Formigal ski resort located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain and is one of the most popular resorts in all of Spain and the Pyrenees. Stretching over four valleys of Tres Hombres-Sextas, Izas-Sarrios, Anayet and Portalet the resort consists of 137 kilometres of slopes and elevations between 1,501 metres and 2,251 metres.
There is a wide range of slopes for every age and ability. Professionals and more confident skiers can race down the 20 kilometres of expert runs including those such as the most difficult run ‘Inferno’ in Zona Portalet which is 2 kilometres long. Beginners can take their time and build their confidence on over 47 kilometres of beginner slopes, families accompanied by children can take advantage of kids' fun parks, ski lessons for children and ski-kindergartens. Meanwhile there are 70 kilometres of intermediate slopes. Travelling around the resort it’s made seamless by the use of its 16 modern lifts and gondolas.
Alongside the extensive variety of ski slopes, there is also a huge range of amenities and other activities for people to enjoy, for example snow hiking, tubing, dog sledding, snake toboggan run and a go-cart ice track. Visitors can even take part in the parallel slalom course located at the Cantal chairlift.
After a long day indulging in all these activities, guests can choose between fine dining restaurants and rustic huts with table service, along with a selection of high class bars for après-ski. Bar Marchica is a popular choice amongst guests, with a DJ and live music to take you right into the evening.
