Falls creek ski resort is a large resort situated in Victoria, Australia, which boasts a whopping 92 kilometres of diamond white slopes and just 45 minutes travel time form the nearest airport.
This resort is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders with 65 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red and blue runs available there is also a wide spread terrain for ‘easy’ green runs and ‘difficult’ back runs, green runs own 15 kilometres and black runs own 12 kilometres of slopes. In total, there are 11 lifts operating to take guests to their chosen run ‘Drovers Terrain’ and ‘Wombats Womble’ are the beginner slopes, ‘The Maze’ run is a wonderful ski route through the alpines, with any twists and turns to excite you. ‘The Summit’ offers the steep slopes for advanced skiers and with elevations between 1,500 metres and 1,780 metres the views form the highest point are stunning and it is worth very skier taking a trip to the top to take in the magnificent scenes.
The longest run is 3 kilometres in length, night skiing is also available with a superb run, for the children there is a snow park available, as well as a snow sport school to teach all beginners the techniques they require for skiing and snowboarding on the alps. Once the slopes have tired you out, why not try one of the many restaurants available in the village Milch café bar, The Cock and Bull, Last Hoot Café Bar and Pizzeria are some of the recommended choices.
